Shriver's father, Sargent Shriver, died on January 18 this year and his mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, had died a year and a half earlier. Since the end of his term as governor, Schwarzenegger has had a very active public life, met with dignitaries from around the world and has attended a meeting at the White House on immigration.
