(quien.com) The protesters accuse the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, of causing a humanitarian crisis and blocking the passage of food and aid to the Nuba Mountains region in the country's border with South Sudan. The actor, his father, Nick Clooney, and other demonstrators, including Rep. Jim Moran, were arrested after having been warned three times not to cross a police line outside the embassy. They were handcuffed and removed in a van Federal Secret Service. Clooney has previously said it expects more attention to the matter and if no action is taken in the next three or four months "we will have a humanitarian disaster." This week joined other celebrities to charitable causes, for example, the case against Joseph Kony, a guerrilla from Uganda, who runs an army that abducts children to become sex slaves or soldiers on the front line in the fight against the government. He is accused of rape, killing and maiming civilians. Given this, celebrities like Bono (U2), Oprah, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and hundreds more have joined the movement to stop Kony.
